Since September 2024 Hastings Commons has been engaged in a ‘deep listening’ project, researching which elements of local heritage matter to the local community. With the support of Historic England we’re developing a community-led heritage strategy and action plan for the area from Rock-A-Nore in the east to the former bathing pool at West St Leonards.
We are now approaching the final stage of our project: the write-up. We’re inviting individuals, organisations and institutions to submit their proposals envisaging what this write-up could look like, helping us reflect on our work and outline an action plan for the future of Hastings’ and St Leonards’ heritage.
We have £5k available to fund this stage of the project. Have a read of the brief and let us know if you’d be interested in joining us!
