What is The Common Room?
The Common Room is a gift to the people of Hastings. It’s a public living room with comfortable sofas, a crafty space, books, and tables and chairs. It does not cost anything to spend time in the Common Room and dogs are welcome. It can also be hired out for community groups - for any hire enquiries, please email space@hastingscommons.com. The Common Room is run by our friendly team of anchors (volunteers).
Our original Common Room (in Eagle House) is currently being renovated and we hope will be open again by late Summer 2025.
In the meantime, we have opened the Mini Common Room which can be found at 10 Claremont.

Would you like to anchor with the Common Room?
We are always on the lookout for more anchors to help run the Common Room. If this is something you would like to be involved in, please email info@hastingscommons.com for more information.
